I’ve done a little shopping the last couple of months that don’t involve fitness clothes or accessories. My most expensive and most needed purchase my was iPhone 6S. I’ve finally upgraded my iPhone 5S since it was starting to actually open. Like legit, the faceplate of the phone was starting to lift from the body and I was scared I would accidentally drip water on it. I had wanted to wait until the 7 comes out, but it was time. And I’ve been loving it since. The camera is awesome. Picture quality is so good. and getting to my apps and whatnot is quick.
Another item I brought that was “necessary” is my London Fog Anise Style Tote. It has two huge zippered pockets on either side that don’t look like pockets and a huge middle section. I can carry everything I need in this bag and I love that it has a drop strap incase I was to carry it over my shoulder. I got it from the clearance section at TJ Maxx, so it was discounted down to about 30 bucks… I think. It’s been a while since I got it.
Keeping with the accessories category, I also got myself a new pair of mirrored sunglasses by Deb & Dave. I really wanted another pair other than the Forever21 I got last fall. They were very affordable and looks great on my face.
Despite the face that I have a hoard of face sheet masks at home already, I couldn’t convince myself not to grab these 3D BeauuGreen Essence Mask. They had several different kinds, but I choose to go with the Aloe because I knew I would be spending a lot more time outdoor this spring & summer. Lots of running is being planned and outdoor events to go to!
Then as a treat for the home and continuing my candle obsession, I brought this Moonlit Orchid candle by SIREN Fine Fragrances. I really like the musky/sweet smells and this is really up my alley. Its so nice to have burning while I working on posts or while relaxing after a good workout. So nice!
So that… I think are my only purchases the last couple of months that wasn’t food or fitness related. I did buy two new workout tops, but maybe I post them later. It’s just more workout clothes… Like I need anymore.
Autumn is finally here. And it’s my second favorite season, with Spring being the first (my birthday is in spring).
Sweaters are a must for autumn and winter especially here in the PNW.While it doesn’t get extremely cold here, it does get chilly enough to be bundled up. I do have a couple that I love but I’ve kind of cleaned out my closet recently. Now I have more room for more clothes. I’m really into the mock turtlenecks. I have two shirts, but no sweaters. I really like the rough edges and texture of H&M Knit Mock Turtleneck Sweater . Edgy enough for my personality, but nice and safe enough to wear to work.
I also love v-neck tops. Because of my chest size, v-necks flatter my upper body more than any other. I love this V-Neck Ribbed Border Sweater from TopShop. The color is just divine. So up my alley. I think it would go well with their Faux Leather Skinny Trousers. Something I need to replace in my wardrobe. My faux leggings no longer look like faux leather.
Out of all the boots I have brought, I have yet to get the military boot of my youth. I used to have a pair from one of my dad’s military buddies who’s ended up getting some women’s shoes. I don’t know what happened to them. I think my mom might have gotten rid of them. Who knows, but I found Aldo Kandy Military Boots and I just need them.
And the finally item I need for fall is a new bag. I really like Aldo’s Westorange handbag. It’s nice and big and looks like it will hold quite a bit of stuff. Which is something I need. I also like Dune Dellta Hardwear Detail Top Handle Tote but I’m not sure I want to spend that much on a bag yet. It’s not a high-end bag, but it’s also not something you just find at Forever 21. I don’t konw, I’m still debating on that.
While I’m thinking about it, I do need to replace some of my jewelry. I have couple really nice rings and necklaces that will last a lifetime, but I have a huge amount of ‘costume’ jewelry that have or have started to fade. I might have to do a jewelry edit soon. Sometime after I cleanup my nail polish collection. Right… until next time, ciao!
Also, I just notice, it’s an awfully lot of dark colors…
When I went shopping the other day looking for goodies to send my sister and her family I wandered into Burlington Coat Factory in town. Even though TJ Maxx and Burlington Coat Factory opened at the same time and that Burlington Coat Factory is literally down the street from my office, I always forget that it’s there.
But it is probably the best place in town to buy accessories. Sure they have tons of clothes, but the way it’s organized, I don’t stay very long in the clothing section. I think I’ve only brought one pairs of jeans from there and it was on an end display. But back to accessories. They have lots.
I got these four necklaces in my latest trip. I forget the brand since apparently my cleaning fit yesterday also proceeded to toss out the tags. They are however were on clearance and in my favorite new metal: rose gold. The three smaller pendants were one set that I occasionally wear all together, but like to use the angle bar and plate more than the stone pendant. The oval shape one is pretty long and hits just right at my chest.
Which one is your fav?
