Packing Your Skincare Routine

Beauty, Skin Care / Monday, September 25th, 2017

Typically when I’m traveling it not flying but a road trip either to my mom’s house or visiting my sister in Portland. So when it came to packing my skincare products, I just tossed the full bottle in my huge makeup bag and off I went. However, with my up coming trip to Las Vegas via plane, I had to “downsized” my products.

I do the double cleanse when I take off my makeup. Usually it with micellar water and then a water-based cream cleanser. However I really needed to bring something a little easier to carry, so I’m taking a travel size packet of makeup removing wipes. I love having these in my gym bag to wipe off all the sweat and dirt from working out, and these guys work well to take off makeup. Then I’ll follow up with the cleanser. I grab both of these from Target’s travel section: Alba Botanica Hawaiian 3-in-1 Towelettes and Clean & Clear Deep Action Cream Cleanser.

Since I’m in the middle of trying out different toners (currently using Bliss Daily Detoxifying Facial Toner, but I’m bringing Seamentika Mineral Tone With Cucumber Extract), I really just need to get a travel bottle. One of the best places to get cheap, but durable mini bottles and pods is Daiso. That’s where I got mine. So one mini bottle for my toner, and two mini pods for my eye cream and my dark-spot fade cream. These are great to bring just enough of your products with you.

The only thing that I’m bringing in it’s original packaging is my vitamin c serum. My current favorite is this one from Measurable Difference. The bottle is small enough for traveling and I couldn’t find an appropriate container for it. All these guys are going in a clear plastic bag along with other daily essentials like toothpaste and deodorant.

The last things I’m bringing is some face masks. I love these guys. Especially if I’ve been out in the sun for long or do some excessive activity or even just being in a room or building where the air quality is probably not the best. I usually put one on right after I finish all my skin care steps for about 15-20 minutes.

On the other hand, I’m slowly getting back into posting things. I mean One post a week isn’t much, but it’s a step forward. I’ve got a couple more travel / packing post I’m thinking of writing. So hopefully I get them done before I go on vacation! Bye for now!
