The last two days were so hectic since we were getting ready for my company’s holiday party. I had originally planned on getting Friday & Saturday’s post ready before hand, but life got in the way. Not only did we have to prep for the party, we also had to help out with the winter sales summit. So my last couple of days have been a bit off.
The party was great. The food was so good and the entertainment was great. We had food from a catering place on Camano Island called the Island Girls I think. I had their brochure before I left the party, but it must have gotten lost in the midst of cleaning. We had a turkey dinner with cranberry sauce, sweet potato, mashed potato, green beans and a spinach-strawberry salad. Desert was okay. The little cupcakes they had were good with the exception of the frosting. Really buttery. Not a good buttercream frosting.
For entertainment we started out with a magician that performed for the company holiday party 10 years ago when he was 11. He’s now 19 and an engineering student in California. He was pretty good. Then a couple of guest from our newest book we acquired, along with our owner played guitars and sang a couple of songs. We then ended the night with karaoke and dancing.
I didn’t get a chance to capture my outfit, but I wore a dark green dress I found on the clearance rack at Burlington Coat Factory and a pair of thigh-high gray Charlie David boots. So I ended up getting myself one of the items on my wish list. Though, I would love to have one in black like the one featured on Blogmas Day 13.
