As gifts for myself (and I had already planned on buying them), I brought myself two new workout DVDs. I’m quite happy with this purchase, as the last time I brought some workout videos, I ended up giving them to mom, as they were a bit too beginner for me. I really wanted to get Jillian Michaels Kickbox FastFix once I saw that she some coming out with a new video. This video has three 20 minute kickboxing routines: Workout 1 -consists of toning your upper body; Workout 2- sculpting and toning of lower body; & Workout 3- Ab work. So far I’ve tried Workout 1 & 3, and its a great cardio burn! Love Kickboxing! Love Jillian!

Since I was buying it on, I also saw some great reviews of Personal Training With Jackie: Xtreme Timesaver Training. I must say, they were right. This one nearly killed me. I had to stop using my 5-lb weights and just do the workout without it. The plan is to buy 3-lb weights this weekend so I can ease my way up to 5, then maybe 8. But for now, I’ve got to go lower.

Jillian’s video feel more a cardio workout while Jackie’s is more toning and strength training! I like them both, and starting to plan to add them to my weekly routine of 2+ miles runs, and my other three favorite workout videos: Women’s Health Look Better Naked, Hip-Hop Abs with Shaun T, and Celebrity All-Star Kickboxing Burn. Gotta get ready for Hawaii in the Fall!
