After maybe a three hour sleep E and I headed out early to catch our flight to Maui. We had just wanted to drop off our luggage so that we didn’t have to leave it in the car at our resort, but they were able to get us prepared room rather quickly! The room was great, but we couldn’t stay too long admiring the room since we had to head backtowards Ma’alaea for our snorkel tour at Monokini. (I had a waterproof film camera, so those pictures will have to come later!) It was my first time snorkeling, so I was a bit scared. However, it was great! I tried swimming without a floating device, but it was much easier with one. We both saw tons of fish: black triggerfish, parrotfishes, raccoon butterflyfish, etc. However, some of the other people we were with actually saw an octopus and a reef shark. We both wanted to get back in to see, but it was already time to head back to Ma’aleaa. Sad, boosh. (Yup, new habits I pick up when I visit E & C)
E & I before setting off to Monokini!
On our way back, we stopped by the town of Lahaina for some shave ice. It was our mission this visit to have shave ice EVERY DAY! So we stop by Ululani Shave Ice. It did not disappoint! It was probably the smoothest shave ice the whole trip and last trip! And the flavors were awesome. I got the guava, pineapple and mango. YUMMY! I think E got coffee, coconut, and vanilla.
