SakuraandBirthday

Sorry, I took such a long break from blogging, but I really needed to step away from looking at a computer screen for a while. Especially since I spend most of my weekdays looking at one. It’s good to take a break from that to recollect yourself. So, now I’m back and let’s start with last weekend! It was girl’s weekend with…

…my girl Holly! Her birthday is on Wednesday, but since we both work on that day, we decided to celebrate this last weekend. Even though she didn’t have to, she drove down to see my mom and pick me up for the weekend before heading back up to Mt. Vernon. After a quick stop for coffee and chat with connie, we went for a quick hike. Basically we were hoping for a bit of snow to play in, but alas, no snow. Usually by this time in the winter season, we’ve already had one snowfall.

After a quick stop at an outlet mall for some fitness clothes shopping (more on that later), we headed over to Sakura in Burlington. This place is great and the food was awesome. We had a very cute waiter. Totally flirted with him as much as possible. Holly got the Hawaii BBQ Bento Box, and I went with the Tokyo Special. Hmmmm, so yummy!

Highly recommend this place if you up the area. They even have Hibachi, which looks like so much fun. Maybe next time we go out and have a huge group, we’ll do that.

No worries, we split this chocolate cake (house special that night) between the two of us and the next morning proceeded to run a 3 miles.
