Putting on a facial mask takes up some time and planning, but it’s such a wonderful way to pamper you skin after a long, hot, sweaty day at work (…the air con at work doesn’t work and we don’t have windows that open, so you can guess how bad it gets…) or a night in eating popcorn and watching Game of Thrones. I’ve been trying out Valentia’s Skin Detoxifying Clay Mask, their newest mask product.
I love clay masks, as I have very oily skin and deep pores, especially on my cheeks. The Valentia clay mask works wonderful on my skin. It does tingle a bit, it’s not bad. I’ve had much worse ones where I immediately have to wash it off. This one was just a bit tingly a few minutes after putting it on and then it just goes away. Another plus: the smell. It has such a nice smell. Kind of a fruity flowery scent (I can never really properly describe smells) and it’s not too strong, so it won’t be annoying when you wait for it to dry.
After 15-minutes, I hopped in the shower and washed it off as they suggested: using a wash cloth in “circular motions to remove the mask helping to slough off dead skin and exfoliate”. My skin felt so smooth right after and I notice my pores looked smaller. It’s great to start my nightly skin routine.
Clay Mask claims that it will draw out skin impurities, improve skin tone, reduce pore size, firm & strengthen the skin, and leave skin feeling smoother. The key ingredients in the clay are: Kaolin Clay (draw impurities, improve skin tone), Plant Stem Cells (soothes skin & reduce redness), Spirulina (hydrates the skin), CoQ10, Hibiscus & Cranberry Fibers (firm and reinforce the skin).
I’m loving this mask so much I’ve been using it twice a week and probably need to make an order soon seeing how great my skin has been reacting since I’ve been using this mask.
